Depression and Anxiety

I work with many people who experience on-going or recurrent depression or anxiety or a combination of both. Together we explore and understand painful patterns of moods and thoughts and develop ways to deal with them more productively and to move beyond them. Sometimes delving into and exploring the roots of pain assists us in healing and moving on. Understanding oneself with compassion can relieve shame and self-blame. Sometimes we hold onto a mind-set or strategy even though it works against us. By gradually letting them go we free ourselves from being caught in suffering.

For people who are interested in Western medications or in alternative treatments, I can provide referrals to practitioners and work collaboratively in your healing.
